Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology, established in 1999, by the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC). GTBIT is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and recognized by AICTE for its academic standard.
GTBIT offers its flagship course B.Tech at the UG level in various specializations. GTBIT provides the B.Tech course in two shifts. Six specializations are offered for the first shift and two for the second shift. For admission in Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology, candidates need to qualify the IPU-CET entrance exam conducted by GGSIPU. Candidates must score more than 55% marks in their 10 + 2 exam or any other equivalent exam.

Candidates who want to take admission in Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology need to clear the accepted entrance exam first. Listed below is the detailed admission procedure.
- For B.Tech courses, the candidate has to pass the IPU-CET conducted by the university.
- Those who will clear the exam, will be called for the university level counselling session for the final round of admissions.
- Candidates must have passed the english exam in addition to the 10+2 exam for admission in B.Tech course.
- 85% of seats are reserved for the Delhi Candidates.
- Candidates above the age of 21 years are not eligible for the admission.

GTBIT is working to develop the holistic skills of all the students. Under this initiative, a project named “SPORTS FOR GROWTH AND PROSPERITY”(SGPP) was successfully implemented in collaboration with AICTE under the joint venture of the UKERI program commenced on 23rd November 2011. The Internal Quality assurance cell (IQAC) of GTBIT, established in April 2010, formulates designing, implementing monitoring, measuring and improving the standards of teaching, evaluation and research activities.
