Established in 2001, the institute is also known as NIET. The campus size is spread over an area of 14 acres of land. The college is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The college is also accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology is affiliated with Dr. A.P.J.Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow. The mission and vision of the college is to provide quality education by fostering innovation and research and achieve academic excellence.
NIET offers courses in the fields of Engineering, Pharmacy, Computer Science, Management and Research. NIET offers diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D courses. The total number of faculty members in the college is 193 and the total number of students enrolled is 4859. Thus, the student-teacher ratio at NIET is 15:1. NIET has several clubs for the students. Kalakriti society participates in various events and activities like poster-making, making banners and other artworks organised inside the campus. The society also participates in inter-college competitions. The theatre society organises street and stage plays. NIET provides many facilities for both the students and staff members. NIET provides facilities like laboratories, gym, sports, cafeteria, IT infrastructure, transport, library, boys hostel, girls hostel, computer lab, etc. The college provides hostel facilities for both boys and girls. The hostels are very comfortable for the accommodation of outstation students. The hostel rooms are well-ventilated. The college hostel also provides recreational facilities. The college cafeteria provides hygienically prepared multicuisine food.

The college library has a vast collection of books, numerous national and international journals and periodicals. The library is opened 24X7 during exam days. The scholarship amount awarded under this scheme is Rs 50,000 per annum.

Central Sector Scheme of Scholarships for College and University Students- This scholarship is awarded by the central government. Rs 22,000 per annum at UG level and Rs 25,000 per annum is awarded under this scheme.
NIET Noida Cutoff
Dr. A.P.J.Abdul Kalam Technical University releases the cutoff for admission to B.Tech programme. Scores of JEE Main are offered for admission and NIET cutoff is released based on JEE Main. The cutoffs are released as opening and closing ranks. Candidates meeting the cutoff can apply for NIET. The cutoff is determined by the number of factors like availability of seats, the difficulty level of the exam, the number of students appearing for the exam and so on.
