NIFT 2024: The National Institute of Fashion Technology will conduct the NIFT 2024 entrance exam tentatively in the first week of February 2024, in Computer-Based mode. The NIFT entrance exam 2024 will be conducted for admission to B.Des, B.F.Tech, M.Des, MFM, and MFTech programmes in NIFT campuses. The authority will open the NIFT 2024 application window in the first week of November 2023. Candidates can fill out the registration form for the NIFT entrance exam at nift.ac.in.
In order to complete the NIFT exam 2024 registration, candidates had to pay an application fee of Rs. 3000 (Rs. 1500 for SC/ ST) in online mode. Candidates are required to meet the stated NIFT 2024 eligibility criteria to appear in the NIFT entrance exam 2024. According to the NIFT 2024 exam pattern, the design entrance test will consist of three parts – The Creative Ability Test (CAT), General Ability Test (GAT), and the Situation Test.
National Institute of Fashion Technology admission is wholly based on the candidate’s performance in the NIFT 2024 entrance exam. B.Des and M.Des candidates have to appear in the Creative Ability Test (CAT), General Ability Test (GAT), and Situation Test/ GD/ PI. Both CAT and GAT exams will be conducted on the same day in online mode.
However, CAT and GAT-qualified candidates are only eligible to appear in the NIFT 2024 situation test. Aspirants seeking admission in B.FTech candidates are required to appear only in the GAT exam. MFM candidates need to clear both GAT and GD/ PI rounds to gain admission across NIFT campuses.
NIFT 2024 counselling will be conducted to fill 5,215 UG and PG design seats for the NIFT-qualified candidates. Students appearing in the NIFT entrance exam need to secure the minimum NIFT Cut off to gain admission at NIFT campuses. The cutoff is the last merit rank in which candidates are offered design course admission in seventeen NIFT campuses.
